I'm still waiting, but the store manager promised me that they would restock the cheese soon. Today or tomorrow. I've suffered three long weeks, but I know it hasn't been in vain. It will just make my last can more enjoyable before I go to Uruguay.
I should get my flight plans tomorrow or Friday, and so I'll let you know about the details. I'm told I get a phone call home for some minutes at the airport, so Ill let you know when that might be. You might have to be ready to get up super early for that. I wasn't expecting that phone call. And you can count on my Christmas phone call too. So that is 2 in one month. Not every missionary gets that. You should probably prepare a calling-card or make sure our long-distance plan is good, because I've heard that international phone calls are super expensive. A missionary in my zone said that his brother was in Brazil and his family called him on Christmas for over an hour and it cost over 300 dollars. But this missionary has been known to exaggerate and tell some tall tales.
I have made an amazing discovery...that you will see in picture when I have them developed. I just took my card in to get the pics developed so I can mail them home before I leave. You will be impressed with Elder Bodily and my discovery this morning. P-Days are very special days. The picture will simply just astound you. I can't wait for you to see it. The code word/hint I'll give now is "Star Wars".
Spanish is pretty much the best language any English speaker can learn. Not only is it completely usable in the USA, but it's practically English's step-brother. So many times during the day I can make up what I think the word might be and I'm right. "Oh I want to say restoration...how about restauracion" or "president...presidente", or "patience...paciencia". I don't know how to explain it, there's a method to the madness. I've started falling in love with all English words that end in "tion" because they just end in "cion" in Spanish a lot of the time. With a decent grasp on the grammar and conjugations now I'm decently fluent, however still pretty slow. Spanish is just fun. You can guess and get it right. I do it at least 10 times a day, and then look it up and to my great joy find that I said a real word. Spanish is boss. It's the bee's-knees. I testify that that is true. Sorry to Tyce that he had to speak Portuguese...or Dad had to speak Japanese...or to MJ who had to speak German... You're all missing out. Spanish is boss.
I'm glad to hear that BYU won. I knew as soon as the game was over who won. We could hear the cheering from the MTC.
I have to go now, because I have my follow up appointment with the foot guy. I love you all. I'm getting out again for at least 20 minutes!!!! Take care and remember always to pray. God does care and will answer.
Adios!!
Andy
